About the teacher
Jean Houston
Jean Houston (1937-2026) rose to prominence in the 1960s human potential movement after co-founding the Foundation for Mind Research with her husband Robert Masters, with whom she conducted years of research into consciousness, guided imagery and altered states. She later served as Chancellor of Meridian University, authored more than two dozen books on human potential and what she called "sacred psychology," and advised Hillary Clinton during the Clinton administration.
Houston died on 16 May 2026 in Ashland, Oregon, at age 89. This profile is kept as a legacy entry rather than an active-teacher listing.
