About the teacher
Cynthia Bourgeault
Cynthia Bourgeault, an Episcopal priest, teaches centring prayer and what she calls the Wisdom tradition, a Christian contemplative lineage drawing on the Desert Fathers, the Gospel of Thomas, and the Work of figures such as Gurdjieff, presented as a path of inner transformation rather than doctrine alone. She serves as faculty emerita of the Center for Action and Contemplation.
She teaches internationally through Wisdom Schools, including sessions at Bonnevaux, France, alongside a full travel schedule balanced against periods of solitude in Maine, and on-demand courses through Wisdom Waypoints.
