About the teacher
Christopher Wallis (Hareesh)
Christopher Wallis, also known by his initiatory name Hareesh, holds a doctorate in Sanskrit and Indian religions and built his teaching organisation, Tantra Illuminated, around close translation and teaching of classical tantric texts, particularly the non-dual Shaiva philosophy of Kashmir Shaivism. His approach is unusual in combining academic textual rigor with an explicitly practice-oriented, accessible teaching style.
He leads retreats and pilgrimages through Tantra Illuminated, workshops in London and a 'Licht auf Tantra' tour in Germany, a 21-Day Awareness Challenge in January 2026, and an ongoing podcast and app-based practice programme.
