Brian Yosef Schachter-Brooks

Reb Brian Yosef Schachter-Brooks has taught Jewish spirituality since 2000, combining Torah study, Kabbalah-based ("Integral Kabbalah") meditation and devotional chant. His training includes certification as a Teacher of Jewish Meditation under Rabbi Avram Davis (2004) and ordination as Minister of Sacred Music by Reb Zalman (2012), alongside a music degree from the Eastman School of Music.

Based in Tucson, Arizona, he runs Torah of Awakening, offering online meditation and study five days a week, one-on-one coaching, and B'nai Mitzvah preparation, while also leading in-person Shabbat and High Holy Day services for Bay Area and Tucson communities.

Spiritual awakening is the experiential realization that you are far more than your thoughts and feelings.
