The Woman Who Can Talk to Animals
Documentary profile of animal communicator Anna Breytenbach.
Shamanism · Animal communication
South African animal communicator trained at the Assisi International Animal Institute, best known for the 2013 documentary The Animal Communicator and for her pro bono work with wildlife rehabilitation and conservation projects.
Anna Breytenbach has practiced interspecies communication for close to two decades, working with both domestic animals and wild species, including cheetahs, lions, wolves, baboons and elephants, across South Africa, Europe and the US. Her approach centers on respectful, intuitive dialogue with animals and the natural world, an orientation shaped partly by tracking and nature-connection training.
Her own website states she is currently not taking new workshop or speaking bookings while she focuses on ongoing projects and pro bono wildlife work; her main current public offering is the self-paced online course "For the Love of Animals," co-created with Brad Laughlin.
“We are all intrinsically made of the same stuff, we really are, which is not stuff.”Anna Breytenbach
