A weekend on the Vijnana Bhairava, a meditation text of Nondual Tantra composed in India between the seventh and tenth centuries and presented as a dialogue between Shiva and the Goddess. Its hundred and twelve dharanas offer many ways into a subtler awareness, and the sessions work with the breath, sound, physical sensation, visualisation, concentration, mantra and stillness. In the studio at Yogakula in Berkeley or online.
A weekend on the Pratyabhijna-Hridaya, "The Heart of Recognition", a short tenth-century Sanskrit text from Kashmir, in Bill Mahony's own translation, which he distributes to participants. The conversations turn on the Tantric teaching that transcendent consciousness shines within us while limiting forces obscure it, and on cultivating that awareness in an ordinary, complicated life.
