Thai reform · Suan Mokkh

Buddhadāsa Bhikkhu

Thai monk and reformer (1906–1993) who founded the forest monastery Suan Mokkh and spent sixty years stripping Thai Buddhism back to what he thought the Buddha actually said. He held that anyone who has seen into the heart of the religions finds them inwardly the same, and that at the highest understanding there is no religion at all.
