Kathina Robe Offering Ceremony

The annual Kathina at the Oxford Buddha Vihara, this year at the village hall in Southmoor. The day opens with the chanting of the thirty Parami, followed by an alms round, the meal for the monks and lunch for everyone else. The robe offering itself begins in the early afternoon, with precepts, chanting, the offering of the Kathina robes and requisites, Dhamma talks and the sharing of merit. Visitors are welcome to bring food, fruit and soft drinks to offer to the sangha and to share.
